Who we are
Warm hands. Full stomachs. Real dignity.
The Sandwich Project delivers fast, dignity-first relief to neighbors facing hunger, homelessness, and extreme poverty. We pair neighborhood kitchens with mobile routes and staffed warming stations to get hot meals, essential gear, and human connection into the hands of people who need it — quickly, respectfully, and without barriers. We prioritize veterans, men, and women who are most vulnerable, and we meet people where they are: no forms, no judgement, just help.
What we do
Run community kitchens and mobile distribution that serve hot soup and fresh sandwiches.
Pack and hand out dignity kits (new socks, hats, gloves, scarves, hand warmers) and, when needed, coats, boots, and blankets.
Staff warming stations during extreme weather and provide on-site referrals to shelters, healthcare, and benefits navigation.
Partner with local laundromats, retailers, clinics, and volunteer teams to stretch every donation into immediate impact.
Why it matters
Cold nights and empty stomachs compound instability. Our model is simple but powerful: small teams, smart logistics, and trauma-informed care reduce harm today and open doors to help tomorrow. Since piloting in 2024, we’ve delivered thousands of meals and built neighborhood hubs that cut the time from prep to handoff — because speed and dignity save lives.
Our values
Dignity first. People get treated like people.
Low barrier. Quick help, no paperwork required.
Community-powered. Local kitchens, local volunteers, local solutions.
Accountable. We measure meals, kits, referrals, and steward donor trust.
Get involved
Volunteer a shift, sponsor a kit, or partner with us to supply winter gear. Small actions add up — one meal, one pair of socks, one warm conversation at a time.
